Wrap up the fall season with an evening of jazz at the Museum of Making Music. The New Horizons Jazz Band takes the stage for a free Jazz Café concert, with coffee and desserts on us.

The New Horizons Jazz Band is part of the North Coastal New Horizons Band, the museum’s adult music program and the Carlsbad affiliate of the national New Horizons program founded at the Eastman School of Music in 1991. Our players are adult musicians of every background. Some picked their instruments back up after decades away, and some first learned to read music right here in our beginning band. They rehearse at the museum every week under conductor Nicole Izzo Mlynczak, and this concert is the payoff of a full fall session of work.

Pull up a chair, grab a coffee, and come cheer on your neighbors. It is a relaxed, friendly evening and a great reminder that it is never too late to make music.
