Steve Weingart moved to Los Angeles in 1994 to expand his musical opportunities. He soon found himself a first call keyboardist on the L.A. scene and began touring the world and co-writing songs with drummer Dave Weckl.
Steve became widely known for his work with Steve"Luke" Lukather (Toto) on the albums "El Grupo", "Ever Changing Times", "Alls Well That Ends Well" and "Transition".
Steve's highly anticipated 2006 solo project, "Dark Blue Dream," was received with great critical acclaim. His next project "Dialogue" and its successor "Observatory" were co-written with his wife, bassist and vocalist Renee Jones and co-produced by drummer Simon Phillips.
In 2013, the successful musical relationship between Weingart & Phillips resulted in the formation of the group, "Protocol II."
