Miranda Altman is the Senior Director of Program Operations at Little Kids Rock, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives by restoring, expanding, and innovating music education in our schools. Since joining the organization in 2009, she has helped expand the mission from serving 35,000 children annually to its current reach of more than 550,000 students today. Throughout the past decade she has worked to grow many programmatic areas of the organization, including the vibrant teacher community, training operations and the organization’s annual professional development conference, the Modern Band Summit. Currently, she provides leadership in areas that include instrument distribution, certification logistics, partner relationships and financial oversight. Miranda is part of the Women of NAMM (WON) 2021 class, a NAMM-backed initiative that supports women in the music products industry to develop their leadership and is passionate about amplifying women's voices in the industry.
An avid music maker, she loves organizing staff jam sessions and has led beginner lessons in lead guitar both at the Modern Band Summit and via Little Kids Rock’s YouTube Channel. She is always excited for any opportunity to play and enjoys supporting local bands in her local New York/New Jersey metro area.
