Field Trip FAQs
Minimum Group Size
Field trips are offered for groups of 10 or more.
Maximum Group Size
The Museum can accommodate groups of up to 60 students. However, if your group has over 60 students, please contact us to make special arrangements.
Advanced Scheduling
Field trip openings fill up very quickly and are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. The earlier you book your field trip, the more likely our team will be able to accommodate your request!
We ask that you schedule your field trip at least 2 weeks in advance.
Cost
For groups of 10 or more, the group rate is $8 per student and $12 per adult.
Groups are allowed one (1) complimentary chaperone for every 10 students.
Bus and coach drivers also receive complimentary admission.
Field trips are free for schools that are Title One designated!
Duration
Field trips are scheduled for 1.5 hours for grades K-2, and 2 hours for grades 3 and up.
Field trip start times are typically reserved for 9:30 am and 11:30 am Tuesdays through Fridays but can be adjusted to accommodate specific group needs.
Amenities
There are several picnic tables and grassy areas outside where students can eat snacks or lunch before or after their visit.
